Job Description
MAIN FUNCTIONS
The Project Engineer II performs engineering design evaluations and supports the execution of capital projects while maintaining alignment with budget, schedule, and regulatory compliance. The role provides technical support to the engineering and construction process, ensuring data accuracy and operational integrity. This position works under immediate supervision with established guidelines and supports the Project Manager when needed.TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation, and contractor selection.
- Support identification and sourcing of long-lead equipment; coordinate FEED contractor involvement until equipment is assigned to the construction contractor.
- Coordinate development of EMCAPS Gate 3 deliverables.
- Develop and manage the Functional Interaction Plan.
- Facilitate project issue resolution processes.
- Coordinate change requests and provide endorsement for change authorization.
- Ensure completion of assigned project scope consistent with project objectives.
- Collaborate with internal Project Team and functional groups to confirm design and construction alignment with specifications and standards.
- Serve as a core interface between the Project Team and Contractors.
- Ensure seamless transitions between project stages.
- Lead the Project Management Team (PMT) in implementing Project Management Systems.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience across engineering, construction, project management, and project controls.
- Multi-discipline technical background.
- Strong knowledge of engineering standards, specifications, and work processes.
- Demonstrated leadership, coordination, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
