Pay Rate: $110/hr

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer / Advisor I to support the Reservoir Leadership Team in maintaining high technical standards across reservoir management, simulation, depletion planning, and economic evaluations. This role will provide technical guidance, perform advanced simulation and economic studies, and support development planning and asset evaluations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support detailed reservoir simulation studies (depletion schemes, technical investigations)
     
  • Conduct supporting analyses including PVT, inflow/outflow, relative permeability, and SCAL
     
  • Perform depletion plan assessments for development planning and A&D evaluations
     
  • Develop and maintain economic models in ComboCurve aligned with corporate standards (CAPEX, OPEX, WI/NRI, royalties, pricing, etc.)
     
  • Run type curve, well-level, and pad-level forecasts with sensitivities and scenario analysis
     
  • Support uncertainty analysis, risk assessments, and value-of-information studies
     
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in peer reviews
     
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with drilling, facilities, geology, planning, and finance
     
  • Deliver clear technical documentation and presentations to leadership
     


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
     
  • Strong Reservoir Engineering experience in Oil & Gas
     
  • Advanced experience in reservoir simulation and dynamic modeling
     
  • Hands-on ComboCurve experience (model setup, forecasts, scenario runs)
     
  • Experience in unconventional development and decline curve analysis (Arps, multi-segment, etc.)
     
  • Strong Excel and data-driven workflow skills
     
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
     
  • Strong communication skills across technical and leadership levels
     


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Aries, PHDWin, Spotfire, Power BI
     
  • Knowledge of scheduling/automation tools (CPM, Python)
     
  • Experience supporting development planning, portfolio analysis, or A&D work
