Scope
The Willow Construction Coordinator is a functional report to the Willow Pipeline Construction Supervisor and is a core member of the Willow Construction Team supporting the safe and successful delivery of the Willow Pipeline Program.
The position assists the Construction Supervisor with day-to-day oversight of field construction activities and will spend the majority of the workday in the field overseeing contractor progress, identifying execution issues, proposing solutions to complex problems, and supporting interfaces between the Willow Project, Company operating areas, and pipeline contractors.
The Willow Development is located within the Bear Tooth Unit in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, approximately 30 miles west-southwest of the Alpine Central Facility. The development includes the Willow Central Processing Facility, drill sites, pipelines, roads, bridges, camps, and supporting infrastructure.
The 2027 pipeline scope is divided into Pipeline East and Pipeline West packages. Each package is expected to install approximately 28 miles of pipeline, including VSMs, HSMs, pipelines, and tuned vibration dampeners.

Key Responsibilities
- Review construction permits and stipulations, engineering drawings, contractor field work plans, execution constraints, and hazards.
- Participate in constructability reviews and provide field execution feedback to planning teams and supervision.
- Provide input into construction support strategies including camps, aviation, ground transportation, construction equipment, fuel forecasts, material delivery, and laydown requirements.
- Support the transition of construction plans into field execution.
- Provide field oversight of assigned construction resources to ensure project milestones and Company requirements for scope, cost, quality, and HSE are achieved.
- Monitor contractor performance and identify performance-improvement opportunities.
- Support interface management between construction contractors and Company operating organizations.
- Manage day-to-day activities associated with construction contracts.
- Support SIMOPS activities involving Drilling, Completions, Operations, and construction contractors.
- Coordinate with the Construction Supervisor, contractors, COPA Logistics, and Materials teams to ensure required materials are delivered to contractors on schedule.
- Monitor construction progress and provide input regarding prioritization of critical activities.
- Identify and assist in resolving field execution and SIMOPS issues.
- Lead and reinforce HSE expectations in the field.
- Perform jobsite walk-downs and review contractor THAs/JHAs.
- Participate in contractor toolbox talks and safety meetings.
- Verify compliance with regulatory permit stipulations.
- Participate in Company and contractor safety engagement meetings.
- Participate in COPA Site Safety Audits, Manage by Walking Around activities, and Life Saving Rule Verifications.
- Support the COPA Incident Free Culture program through workshops, field engagements, and training.
- 10+ years of pipeline construction or related construction experience.
- Proven ability to manage interfaces involving multiple field construction contractors.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license.
- Competency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction, or a related field, or relevant field experience.
- 5+ years of construction experience in Arctic conditions.
- 5+ years of construction supervision/construction management experience.
- Experience working as part of a team on a large project and interfacing with project leadership.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines and across organizational boundaries.
- Ability to build strong working relationships with Company personnel and contractors.
- Strong field leadership, problem-solving, adaptability, and continuous-improvement skills.
