- Journeyman’s License: $55/hr

The Automation Technician is a hands-on field role responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining instrumentation, automation, and control systems in plant and field environments. This position requires strong technical capability, outdoor field work, and participation in an on-call rotation to support after-hours operational needs.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot plant and field instrumentation and automation equipment
- Read and interpret loop drawings and P&IDs for control device installation and troubleshooting
- Maintain and troubleshoot instruments and end devices under 50V (transmitters, guided wave radar, valves, switches, sensors, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and maintain communication equipment (radio systems, network switches, etc.)
- Support PLC, RTU, and HMI systems including:
- Allen Bradley PLCs
- ROC 827
- FB3000
- Various HMIs
- Participate in rotational on-call schedule and respond to after-hours operational issues as required
- Strong hands-on instrumentation and automation experience
- Ability to read and follow loop drawings and P&IDs
- Experience troubleshooting low-voltage instrumentation (<50V)
- Experience with industrial communication systems and networking equipment
- Working knowledge of PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field environments
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

- Agency-provided ½-ton truck
- On-call participation is mandatory per rotation schedule
- Vacation requests must be submitted to area supervisor for approval
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions is required
