Job Title: Mechanical Technician II
Compensation: $39.94/hr – $45.93/hr
Location: Carlsbad, NM
Schedule: Monday–Friday (5/2), 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, 30-minute lunch break
Scope
Manage fleet operations, including overseeing the TransDev shop.
Primary Job Functions
  • Oversee 60 pool vehicles and their maintenance
  • Assist with overseeing approximately 700 field vehicles, including maintenance and repair health
  • Maintain and update records for field and office vehicles: past-due PMs, telematics, windshield repairs, fuel cards, safety inspections, and other items as needed
  • Maintain and oversee oil changes, maintenance, and washes for pool vehicles and other assigned or departmental vehicles as needed
  • Coordinate and schedule vehicle repairs for field offices
  • Oversee Traka system faults and repairs
  • Perform walk-arounds of pool vehicles to ensure safe operating order
  • Maintain and coordinate telematics device replacement
  • Assist with Holman ARI fuel PIN numbers for field and office
  • Coordinate vehicle movement
  • Receive and inspect vehicles for remarketing and incoming new vehicles
  • Other vehicle porter duties as required
Additional Notes
  • Computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • General vehicle knowledge
  • Ability to multitask
  • 3–5 years of experience (preferred, not required)
