Scope
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet the daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Implement daily work objectives related to housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards
• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings
• Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operations
• Function as an Equipment Care Technician and perform simple maintenance activities when required
• Report when alarm, emergency, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service
• Provide detailed and accurate shift handover communication to ensure continuity of operations
• Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance work according to corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance plans
• Maintain accurate logbook entries documenting operational events, abnormal situations, or deviations involving equipment, personnel, or operations
• Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and conduct field laboratory tests
• Participate in emergency response activities as required
• Report incidents internally and escalate according to Incident Reporting Guidelines
• Ensure the Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted regarding operational activities
• Maintain strong communication across the work team to ensure issues are addressed effectively
• Provide accurate information regarding well production issues, current production rates, and well conditions
• Ensure well diagnostics are completed before requesting Well Work intervention operations
• Confirm wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and operational prior to Well Work intervention activities
• Provide support to Well Work operations as required

Skills and Qualifications
• Completed secondary education and previous experience as a Field Technician
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standards
• Strong knowledge of pipeline operations
• Knowledge of safety and operations management tools and processes
• Broad understanding of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
• Knowledge of project philosophy and design specifications
• Understanding of relevant regulations and commercial agreements

Comments
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Communicate with all levels of Field Operations personnel, from executive leadership to field technicians
• Relay alarm details, conduct welfare checks, and gather information regarding potential criminal activity via phone and email
• Assist Field Operations personnel with evaluating and mitigating alarms remotely
• Communicate incident details with Regional Security Supervisors when criminal activity is suspected
• Coordinate with Emergency Services during incidents or catastrophic events
• Communicate with State and Federal DOT personnel during emergency response system testing or real-world incidents
• Handle sensitive operational and personnel information appropriately

Additional Preferred Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in emergency services dispatching (preferred)
• Experience in oil and gas field operations (preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks during a shift
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, Wonderware, WinTMC, Ignition)
• Strong communication skills via telephone, radio, and in-person
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a dynamic team environment
• Strong typing, composition, and organizational skills
Fluent Spanish is a plus
