Schedule
5/2 – 40 hrs/week with On-Call Weekend Rotation

Scope
Installs and maintains electrical and instrumentation equipment in compliance with all safety rules and operational practices. Tests and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems used by production equipment to ensure adherence to established performance standards and product quality. Evaluates electrical systems and instruments to determine repair strategies and documents all issues and corrective actions.

Responsibilities
• Plan, update, and oversee activities within assigned areas in accordance with laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures with strong emphasis on safety, health, and environmental compliance
• Promote teamwork between operations, engineering, and project groups
• Provide input and review control specifications and work practices
• Maintain responsibility and accountability for electrical and control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual
• Follow and apply work permits through the Permit To Work System (PTWS)
• Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled through the Maintenance Program
• Develop and maintain personal and team technical skills including knowledge of new regulations, equipment, and methods
• Participate in and lead technical meetings to keep technicians informed of updated specifications, procedures, and technologies
• Maintain open communication with coworkers regarding electrical and control system issues, safe work practices, and materials
• Support work prioritization to maximize team effectiveness and coordination with other work groups
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for company instrument and electrical systems
• Generate Management of Change (MOC) requests for electrical and control equipment modifications and follow installation inspections consistent with OIMS Element 3
• Monitor and inspect new installations to ensure alignment with operational requirements and recommend improvements as needed
• Serve as a backup for the Instrument and Electrical Lead when required

Skills & Qualifications
• Associate degree preferred, supplemented by related technical training
• Experience maintaining electrical systems and instrumentation in a processing plant or offshore production environment

General Technical Knowledge
• Familiarity with regulations governing oil and gas facility operations
• Knowledge of OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures

Specific Technical Skills
• Meets safety, administrative, and technical training requirements outlined in the company’s operations training roadmap
• Demonstrates required Operations Integrity Critical competencies
• Basic computing skills

• Tools and 4-gas monitor supplied by XOM
Local candidates required due to on-call rotation (no per diem)
