Responsible for the safe and efficient operations, monitoring, and maintenance preparation of wells, processing units, and related facilities. Strong focus on oil, gas, and water separation facilities operations along with major utilities. Position supports facility startup, operating procedures, work permitting, and production operations. Candidates with new facility startup and operations experience are highly desirable.
Main Functions
- Safe operation and monitoring of production facilities and wells
- Oil, gas, and water separation operations
- Facility inspections and troubleshooting
- Process monitoring and optimization
- Safe Work Permit participation
- Gauge tanks, meter reads, product sampling, and production reporting
- Environmental and safety compliance
- Basic maintenance and operational support
- Coordination of oil sales and saltwater hauling
- Monitoring pressures, temperatures, flow rates, levels, and vibration
- Winterization and seasonal equipment preparation
- Communication with Production Foreman and operations teams
- Follow and enforce all safety procedures
- Understand facility process flow, lineups, and isolation points
- Inspect equipment and operating areas for proper operation
- Issue Safe Work Permits and perform gas testing
- Record production and operational data accurately
- Monitor leaks, freezing, overheating, chemical injection rates, and pressures
- Adjust local process parameters to maintain production specs
- Inspect valves and safety systems
- Perform basic field maintenance
- Maintain company vehicle and tools
- Support environmental compliance and spill prevention
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Support team objectives and maintain reliable attendance
- High School Diploma required
- Prior related oil & gas production operations experience required
- Trade school or college preferred for higher-level consideration
- Must work rotating shifts and be available for callouts
- Ability to maintain and repair surface production equipment
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and climbing ladders/stairs
- Must be able to wear/use SCBA and safety equipment
- Ability to work effectively in multicultural team environments
- Agency supplied ½-ton truck
- Basic tools and shakeout provided
- Local candidates preferred
- No per diem offered
