• On-call rotation every 6–8 weeks after first 3 months
Pay Rate: $75.00/hr
Vehicle: Agency-provided ½-ton truck

Position Overview

The Instrument Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of instrumentation and control systems supporting oil and gas production operations. This role ensures instrumentation reliability, safety compliance, and adherence to company standards while supporting operational excellence across facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, test, and repair instrumentation and control systems in compliance with company rules, regulations, and safety standards
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee assigned maintenance activities with strong emphasis on HSE
  • Support collaboration between Operations, Engineering, and Projects teams
  • Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices
  • Apply and follow Permit to Work (PTW) processes per the Work Management Manual
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of scheduled maintenance activities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to other technicians
  • Generate and manage Management of Change (MOC) requests for control-related equipment in alignment with OIMS Element 3
  • Inspect new installations for compliance and recommend system upgrades as needed
  • Train and mentor instrument technicians on specifications, procedures, and emerging technologies
  • Serve as stand-in for the Instrument Lead when required

Skills & Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree and applicable technical certifications required
  • Experience maintaining instrumentation and control systems in processing plants or offshore production facilities
Technical Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of oil & gas facility regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with OIMS systems, manuals, and procedures
  • Ability to meet all safety, administrative, and technical training requirements per company-approved training roadmap
  • Proficient computing skills
