Job Title: Project Controls Advisor II
Compensation: $107/hr

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Scope
The Project Controls Advisor is an expert in Project Controls, Planning and Scheduling, and Project Services. They support projects as needed, help the Project Controls Supervisor update tools and processes, and train and mentor less experienced group members.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project cost control activities, including:
    • Compliance with client policies and procedures
    • Developing and maintaining controls systems that support contracting strategies
    • Contract administration
  • Develop Project Controls Plans
  • Oversee development of Project Class 3 Cost Estimates
  • Independently draft high-quality Appropriation Request packages, project procedures, and Decision Support (White Paper) documents
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management
  • Experience in Project Services, Project Controls, and Planning
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Multiple international project assignments
  • Willing to travel to project sites (overseas or domestic) and work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of project management best practices frameworks and key work processes
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, business, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical, and computing skills
  • Competent or expert proficiency in several project management skills, such as:
    • EMCAPS (ExxonMobil Capital Project Management System)
    • Project controls
    • Execution planning
    • Contracting strategy
    • Contract administration
    • Cost estimating
    • Planning and scheduling
