Scope
Maintenance Technician IV
Operate and support production operations at ConocoPhillips Alpine or Kuparuk facilities and drill sites. Positions are rotational (14 days on / 14 days off) and based at self-contained camps in remote Arctic environments.
Main Functions
  • Support safe and efficient production operations across assigned operating areas
  • Participate in safety meetings, operations toolboxes, and emergency response drills/events
  • Monitor production processes, pipelines, utilities, and safety systems
  • Conduct routine operator rounds and equipment surveillance
  • Respond to process upsets and abnormal operating conditions
  • Perform planned and unplanned facility start-up and shutdown activities
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization efforts to meet production targets
  • Prepare and execute energy isolations and equipment preparation for maintenance activities
  • Maintain compliance with Safe Operating Limits, Management of Change (MOC), and Control of Work processes
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), environmental requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Complete required training and competency programs for assigned facilities and drill sites
  • Exercise Stop-Work Authority when unsafe conditions exist
Qualifications
Basic/Required
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • 1+ years of experience as a Field Production Operator for wells and remote gathering systems and/or processing facilities
  • Ability to work rotational schedules in remote Arctic camp environments
  • Strong commitment to safety, operational integrity, and teamwork
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience
  • Associate degree or higher in Process Technology or related technical discipline
  • Intermediate knowledge of Production Operations and Process Safety Management
  • Experience with facility operations, troubleshooting, and production optimization
  • Experience preparing equipment isolations and supporting maintenance activities
  • Familiarity with Control of Work, MOC, and permit-to-work systems

Notes
  • Candidates must be able to work effectively in remote field locations and extreme weather conditions
  • Prior Alaska North Slope or remote operations experience is a plus
  • ConocoPhillips operating experience is preferred but not required
