Scope
Mechanic I or II position that assists in the maintenance of one or more compressors with responsibility for the compressor packages and equipment. Provides feedback for the operation of compressor packages. Planning and organization of PMs and other maintenance items. Has a minimum of entry level diagnostic and repair skills. May assist other field locations/mechanics.

  • Waukesha engine experience is highly preferred
  • Ariel compressor experience is highly preferred
  • Brandon is looking for candidates with less than 10 years of experience
Education, Experience and Training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred — OEM, Trade School, or comparable work experience in related field/industry
  • Some knowledge in gas processes and mechanics of motor compressors (Waukesha, Ariel, Caterpillar, etc.)
  • 1+ year compression process, production, and equipment related experience and/or training
  • Electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Possess basic knowledge of compressor packages, including some components and systems

  • Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR required
Physical Demands
  • Requires operation of heavy equipment (crane, manlift)
  • Requires standing up to 75% of the time
  • Requires sitting up to 25% of the time
  • Requires climbing ladders or stairs while inspecting and repairing equipment
  • Must maintain balance on stairs/ladders without assistance
  • Must communicate effectively with contractors and XOM personnel, including emergency cues/alarms and mobile devices
  • Frequent lifting of at least 10 lbs.; infrequent lifting over 50 lbs.
  • High noise environment (>85dbA) with required ear protection
  • Potential controlled exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Outdoor work in extreme heat and extreme cold
  • Requires stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling in confined spaces
  • Required PPE includes FR clothing, hard hats, face shields, hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots
  • Frequent computer and office equipment use required
