This role requires a strong focus on oil, gas, and water separation facility operations, along with major utilities and secondary expertise in all production operations.
This is part of a large project including facility start-up, implementation of operating tools and procedures, work permitting systems, and training. Candidates with experience in new facility start-up and operations are highly desirable.

Safety & Compliance
- Responsible for personal safety and the safety of coworkers; follows and enforces all safety rules.
- Issues Safe Work Permits and maintains awareness of chemical, personnel, and process safety risks.
- Performs gas testing to ensure safe conditions for maintenance activities.
- Inspects safety valves, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, breathing apparatus, and other safety equipment.
- Understands and performs work according to environmental policies and procedures.
- Serves as the primary operations contact for assigned facilities.
- Understands process flow, chemistry, unit line-ups, and safety equipment including isolation points.
- Reviews computer data and schematics to ensure optimal process performance.
- Physically inspects equipment using vision, hearing, smell, and touch to ensure proper operation.
- Conducts routine monitoring including:
- Gauge tanks
- Meter readings
- Recording operational data
- Product sampling
- Differential pressure checks
- Chemical injection rates
- Leak detection
- Freeze or overheating monitoring
- Performs visual maintenance checks including temperature, pressure, flow rate, vibration, and level monitoring.
- Adjusts local process parameters to maintain product specifications.
- Performs basic maintenance tasks such as:
- Adding lube oil and water
- Tightening valve packing
- Changing filters and steam traps
- Clearing equipment
- Checks control valve positions to confirm proper alignment.
- Performs winterization and summerization of equipment to maintain operating efficiency.
- Maintains company vehicle in good working condition.
- Coordinates oil sales and saltwater hauling.
- Maintains accurate electronic or paper gauge sheets and documents production changes.
- Communicates regularly with Production Foreman regarding operating conditions and adjustments.
- Monitors equipment using handheld and computer-based monitoring equipment.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives within operations.
- Demonstrates reliable attendance and ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experience in a closely related oil & gas operations role.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and repair surface equipment associated with oil and gas production.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts and respond to callouts when required.
- Proficient with computers and able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment.
- Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders/stairways.
- Must be able to use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and other safety monitoring equipment.
- Troubleshooting surface equipment – hands-on role with less paperwork on night shift.
- Diagnosing and resolving alarms.
- Data trending using SCADA systems.
- Must be comfortable working independently
