Main Functions
- Prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of planning and completing a well
- Ensure geological and reservoir objectives are met while maintaining the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection
- Develop well designs and plans optimized for cost, performance, and investment efficiency
- Provide technical review and support to drilling team designs and operations
- Evaluate and progress new technologies, including potential subsea applications
In addition to Level I responsibilities, Level II/III will:
- Work closely with safety, environmental, and field operations personnel to optimize safety performance
- Support new completions and workovers, including execution of timing projects
- Perform post-evaluation of capital projects and manage financial accruals related to timing projects
- Act as liaison/interface engineer with joint venture partners
- Identify opportunities to improve completions technology application, reducing cost and improving efficiency
- Prepare cost analyses and estimates for completions; partner with drilling teams on cost planning
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Broad knowledge of completions design, equipment, operations, standards, and specifications (including potential subsea systems)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong technical communication skills (written and verbal English)
- BS degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience or interest in Artificial Intelligence is a plus
- Prior completions experience with an operator or service company frac engineering background
- Strong presentation and stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and clearly present findings
