Scope
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet the daily operational plan, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource utilization.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for implementing daily work objectives related to housekeeping, safety, health, environmental and security standards
• Actively participate in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings
• Identify and implement corrective and optimization actions through continuous surveillance of wells and equipment to ensure reliable, efficient and safe operational conditions
• Function as an Equipment Care Technician and routinely perform simple maintenance activities using maintenance skills
• Report when alarm, emergency or emergency shutdown systems are out of service
• Provide detailed, clear and accurate shift handover information to ensure operational continuity
• Coordinate, control and monitor maintenance jobs according to corrective, predictive and preventive maintenance planning
• Record all relevant operational events, abnormal situations, or deviations in the operations logbook
• Take product samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory tests as required
• Participate in emergency response activities when required
• Report incidents internally and escalate awareness according to Incident Reporting Guidelines
• Ensure Operations Shift Supervisor is informed and consulted regarding operational activities
• Maintain effective communication across the work team to ensure operational issues are addressed
• Provide accurate information regarding well production problems, production rates, and current well conditions
• Ensure well diagnostics are thorough before requesting Well Work intervention operations
• Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are maintained and in proper working condition prior to well intervention operations
• Provide support to ongoing Well Work operations as needed

Preferred Experience
• Experience with process operations in non-refinery environments
• Experience with upstream production from the wellhead
• Experience working in or familiarity with operations in West Texas, New Mexico, Bakken (ND), or Oklahoma

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Completed secondary education and prior experience working as a Field Technician or similar role
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong commitment to safety, health and environmental standards and the ability to promote these values within the team
• Extensive knowledge of pipeline operations
• Strong understanding of safety and operations management tools and processes
• Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures
• Familiarity with project philosophy and design specifications
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
• Understanding of applicable commercial agreements
