Job Title: Multi-Skilled Operator I
Location: Dunn Center, ND
Schedule: 7 Days On / 7 Days Off (12 Hour Days) – NIGHT SHIFT
Position Overview
The Multi-Skilled Operator I supports daily field operations by performing routine well and facility operations, monitoring equipment performance, and assisting with basic maintenance activities. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to build experience in oil & gas production operations while working alongside experienced operators and craft personnel.
Key Responsibilities
• Operate and monitor wells including gas-lifted wells and ESPs
• Support three-phase separation, gas compression, and pipeline operations
• Perform routine rounds, readings, and basic control board monitoring
• Conduct minor maintenance on valves, pumps, and rotating equipment
• Issue work permits and follow established operating procedures
• Initiate work requests and assist with basic procedure development
• Proactively monitor well and equipment performance to support production optimization
• Work with support groups to adjust chemical pump rates (corrosion, paraffin, soap injection, etc.)
• Interface with Engineering for data gathering and operational support
• Track test compression data
• Conduct fluid level measurements using echo meter
Skills & Qualifications
• Entry-level role: 0–3 years of oil & gas or industrial experience
• Ability to learn oilfield terminology, systems, and operating procedures
• Capable of performing routine office and field tasks using established processes
• Willingness to work in the field and support multiple operational disciplines
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work as part of a team and assist other operators and craft personnel
