Scope
The Environmental Engineering Analyst supports the Gulf Coast Rockies (GCR) Environmental Compliance team by collecting, validating, managing, and reporting operational and environmental data required for regulatory compliance and internal performance tracking. This role focuses heavily on QA/QC of operational datasets, environmental reporting support, dashboard development, analytics, and transforming large, complex datasets into actionable business insights.
This individual will support environmental engineers by improving data integrity, streamlining workflows, assisting with emissions reporting, and supporting broader environmental compliance initiatives across Gulf Coast Rockies operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead development, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and administration of environmental data systems and compliance tools
• Develop dashboards, reporting tools, analytics solutions, and mobile data applications
• Build and maintain standardized procedures for data entry, governance, validation, integration, and removal while maintaining high-quality environmental datasets
• Develop and manage systems used to collect, process, analyze, and maintain environmental compliance data
• Perform QA/QC reviews, system audits, and validation checks to ensure compliance functionality and data integrity
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve data sharing, reporting workflows, and system integration efforts
• Provide emissions calculations and reporting support to Environmental Compliance Engineers
• Support environmental compliance activities including engine test scheduling, LDAR coordination, spill cleanup support, and related field compliance tasks as needed
• Provide training and support to team members on environmental data systems, dashboards, and reporting tools
• Gain working knowledge of environmental regulations, internal compliance policies, and operational reporting requirements
Required Qualifications
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Experience transforming complex data into actionable insights and reporting solutions
• Strong experience with relational databases, data governance, warehousing, standardization, and data integration
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership, operations teams, vendors, and regulators
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered
• Experience or exposure to SQL, Python, or similar programming languages
• Experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing platforms
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization/reporting software
• Experience working with Microsoft Copilot or AI-driven tools
• Experience improving data workflows and supporting data-driven operational initiatives
• Understanding of HSE, maintenance, engineering, or field operations environments
• Working knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory processes
• Basic understanding of oil & gas production operations and equipment
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
• Strong collaboration skills across multiple departments and organizational levels
