Pay Rate: $52–$58 per hour
Location: Midland, TX
Schedule:
5 days on / 2 day off (50 hours/week)

Local Candidates Preferred (within 45–60 minutes due to on-call needs)

Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a qualified Instrument Maintenance Technician II to support operations in Midland, TX. This role is essential to maintaining and troubleshooting instrument equipment used in production facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, safety awareness, and experience with equipment from Allen-Bradley and Emerson Roc800.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and test instrument systems in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and repair systems used in production to ensure optimal performance and quality.
  • Interpret technical documentation and specifications to plan and execute repair tasks.
  • Support health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams.
  • Review and provide input on control specifications and work practices.
  • Use Permit To Work System (PTWS) per company guidelines.
  • Provide technical support and coaching to peers as needed.
  • Develop and conduct training for instrumentation staff.
  • Submit and manage Management of Change (MOC) requests.
  • Stand in for Instrument Lead when required.


Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
  • 2–4 years’ experience in production instrumentation.
  • Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and Emerson Roc800 systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and commissioning experience.
  • Associates degree (technical discipline preferred) with supplemental technical training.
  • Familiar with oil and gas facility regulations and safety systems (e.g., OIMS).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

Preferred:
  • Experience working in processing plants or offshore production environments.
  • Ability to generate and manage MOC documentation.
  • Computing and control systems skills.
