Main Functions
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource administration.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Implement daily work objectives including housekeeping, safety, health, environmental, and security standards
- Actively participate in daily toolbox talks and scheduled safety meetings
- Perform continuous surveillance of wells and equipment; identify and execute corrective and optimization actions
- Function as Equipment Care Technician and perform basic maintenance activities
- Report alarms, emergencies, or any out-of-service emergency shutdown systems
- Provide clear and accurate shift handover communication to ensure operational continuity
- Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance activities (corrective, predictive, preventive)
- Maintain detailed logbook entries of operational events, abnormalities, and deviations
- Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing
- Participate in emergency response activities
- Report incidents and escalate per Incident Reporting Guidelines
- Maintain communication with Operations Shift Supervisor regarding all operational activities
- Ensure effective communication across the team to address operational issues
- Report well performance data including production rates and operating conditions
- Perform thorough well diagnostics prior to requesting Wellwork intervention
- Ensure wellhead and surface equipment are operational prior to intervention activities
- Support Wellwork operations as required
- Secondary education completed; prior experience as a Field Technician required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental standards
- Understanding of pipeline operations
- Familiarity with safety and operations management systems
- Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness Procedures
- Understanding of project philosophy and design specifications
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and commercial agreements
