Job Title: WellView Trainer
Location: Midland, TX
Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation
Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator II will provide field and office-based training and technical support for WellView users within the Drilling & Completions (D&C) organization. This role is responsible for delivering application training, managing data integrity, supporting operations with report generation and quality control, and maintaining standardized processes and documentation across D&C operations.
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of WellView functionality, drilling and completions workflows, and data standards, combined with excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver training for field and office users on all aspects of WellView functionality
• Support field operations and office teams on data standards, quality, and issue resolution
• Maintain and track new hire WellView training records
• Perform well data quality control (costs, phases, schematics, etc.)
• Conduct daily training sessions with Operations Technicians (Ops Techs)
• Travel to local coordination offices (LCO) to facilitate D&C training needs
• Develop and maintain WellView training materials using standardized templates
• Execute ad-hoc WellView data pulls and support data validation initiatives
• Assist in maintaining and improving data standards, libraries, and user data lists (UDLs)
• Coordinate with the Analyst Group to review and implement functional requirement changes
• Modify reports and update training materials to reflect system or process changes
• Provide 24/7 WellView user support (includes light IT troubleshooting)
Skills and Qualifications
Education:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent technical experience
Experience:
• Previous experience in a drilling, completions, or data management role required
• Strong working knowledge of WellView and related D&C data systems
• Understanding of drilling and completions operations, cost tracking, and reporting
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data tools used for well reporting and tracking
• Ability to create reports, queries, and perform data audits within WellView
• Skilled in developing and maintaining training materials and user documentation
Personal Attributes:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; effective trainer and team collaborator
• Strong initiative and problem-solving mindset
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable to changing operational needs
• Willingness to work rotational schedule and respond to call-outs as needed
