Overview
Devon Energy is seeking experienced Pipeline Operators to support pipeline gathering and transportation operations in the Delaware Basin. This is a hands-on field position responsible for the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and integrity of gas, oil, and water gathering systems. Operators will work independently while ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety standards.
This role is well suited for candidates with pipeline operations, integrity management, ROW inspections, pigging operations, and gathering system maintenance experience.

The strongest candidates will have several years of hands-on pipeline operations experience supporting oil and gas gathering systems, with demonstrated expertise in pigging, ROW patrols, DOT compliance, valve maintenance, and pipeline integrity. Experience working independently in the field, responding to operational issues, and coordinating with contractors and field operations teams will be highly valued. This is not a control room position but a field-based pipeline operations role requiring strong safety awareness, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage pipeline assets with minimal supervision.

- Operate and monitor gas, oil, and water gathering pipelines.
- Monitor pipeline pressures and make operational adjustments as required.
- Perform routine pipeline inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct pigging operations to maintain pipeline integrity.
- Monitor excavation activities and witness pipeline crossings.
- Perform right-of-way (ROW) patrols and document findings.
- Maintain accurate operational documentation and GIS mapping updates.
- Monitor real-time pipeline surveillance systems.
- Perform minor maintenance on valves, actuators, and pipeline equipment.
- Coordinate with field operations, chemical technicians, contractors, and vendors.
- Support emergency response and after-hours callouts when required.
- Assist with SOP development and maintenance planning.
- Investigate operational issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
- Participate in safety meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
