Scope
ConocoPhillips Alaska is seeking a contract technician to support drillsite production operations at the Alpine field on the Western North Slope. This role will primarily operate drill sites and associated processing equipment including production and injection wells, separation vessels, metering equipment, pumps, and pipeline facilities. The position will also support day-to-day drillsite maintenance functions and tasks.
This is a remotely based role working a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation and is covered by a DOT drug-testing program.
Main responsibilities include:
• Operate Western North Slope drillsites in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner
• Achieve and maintain competency qualifications to operate all Western North Slope drillsites
• Apply safety and environmental standards and ensure compliance
• Participate in field safety processes to support a zero-incident operating culture
• Prepare and safe out equipment for maintenance operations
• Troubleshoot technical process problems and safety issues to support safe and optimized production
• Participate in injection well service changes (WAGs), drillsite modifications, and special projects
• Perform function tests and preventive/corrective maintenance on well safety systems and other drillsite equipment
• Support day-to-day drillsite maintenance tasks including pigging operations, flange management, ordering chemicals, fluid/process sampling, and managing stock and tooling inventory
Requirements
• Current/valid driver’s license
• 2+ years of direct oilfield or petrochemical operations experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience operating Western North Slope drillsites
• Associate degree or higher in Process Technology or other relevant technical discipline
• Strong knowledge of oil and gas processes, safety procedures, and environmental practices
• Experience working in an arctic environment
• Flange Management experience and training
• Intermediate ability to read and interpret P&IDs and isometric drawings
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with personnel from different companies and backgrounds
