Scope Main Functions Support field electrical maintenance and electrical isolation through Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for lighting, air-conditioning systems, motors, and related equipment. Plan and execute scheduled preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize production interruptions and maximize operational availability. This position typically reports to a supervisor. Tasks and Responsibilities In addition to the Level I and Level II responsibilities, the Electrical Maintenance Technician III will:
Work with vendors and subcontractors as required.
Comply with Management of Change requirements for plant modifications.
Apply electrical skills and knowledge in a practical and efficient manner.
Continually identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and work simplification.
Comply with and promote high Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental standards.
Demonstrate responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
Perform maintenance activities while minimizing production impact and maximizing equipment availability.
Use Observation Safety Techniques to report safe and unsafe acts.
Actively participate in the responsible waste-management system.
Attend and participate in Operations morning shift meetings.
Support powerline work and powerline construction activities as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
A valid and current Texas Journeyman Electrician or Master Electrician license is required.
Each candidate’s license must be confirmed before submittal.
The applicable Texas electrical license number must be included on the resume and submittal.
Previous experience in a closely related electrical maintenance position is required.
Oilfield electrical experience is strongly preferred.
Powerline maintenance and/or powerline construction experience is preferred.
Appropriate electrical certifications or equivalent professional experience.
Working knowledge of electrical isolation and LOTO procedures.
Effective communication skills, including the ability to clearly describe field conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Ability to work effectively with individuals over whom the technician has no direct authority.
Willingness to assist coworkers and contribute to team objectives.
Ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
