Schedule
8/6 Rotation – 10 hr days (Thursday hitch) with overtime as needed

Scope
Responsible for commissioning and decommissioning conventional and high-pressure gas compressors and supporting facilities. This role supports compressor start-ups, facility expansions, and operational readiness while working closely with operations, construction teams, and contractors. The position focuses on learning compressor facility operations, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring systems meet operational and safety standards.

Responsibilities
• Commission and decommission conventional and high-pressure compressors
• Coordinate pressure testing and bring new compressor units online
• Inspect new compressor builds and facility expansions during the construction phase
• Conduct final inspections and participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs)
• Learn daily gas compressor and compressor facility operations while maintaining proper housekeeping standards
• Perform basic troubleshooting, diagnostics, and equipment repair or replacement
• Maintain up-to-date reporting on facility operations and documentation required for JBPE processes
• Work closely with Foremen, Compressor Operators, Mechanics, and Lease Operators
• Collaborate with contractors during construction and commissioning activities
• Perform on-call duties and travel to field locations using a company-provided vehicle
• Utilize appropriate tools and technology to diagnose and maintain compressor equipment
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor

Skills & Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Mechanical or oilfield experience required (approximately 2.5+ years preferred)
• Prior compressor or gas lift operations experience preferred
• Knowledge of ancillary compressor equipment including fuel gas skids and engines for gas-driven machines
• Familiarity with medium voltage transformers, VFDs, and motors for electric-driven compressor systems
• Knowledge of automation and control equipment used in gas compression facilities
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required

Comments
• Agency supplied ½ ton truck provided
• Tools provided (toolboxes, ratpack, temp gun, socket set, hand tools)
• 4-gas monitor supplied by XOM
• Meet & Greet interview preferred in person; Zoom can be accommodated
• Interview duration approximately 30 minutes
