Scope
Operate production equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures to achieve daily production targets, maximize equipment reliability, and safely manage field operations. Responsible for surveillance of producing wells, troubleshooting production issues, supporting well intervention activities, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all HSE and operational standards.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have hands-on oil & gas production operations experience with at least two years’ experience in production or chemical processing. They should be comfortable operating producing wells, diagnosing production issues, coordinating maintenance, supporting Wellwork operations, and maintaining a strong safety culture. Candidates with upstream production experience in the Delaware Basin or Permian Basin will be especially competitive.

Operate production equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures to achieve daily production targets, maximize equipment reliability, and safely manage field operations. Responsible for surveillance of producing wells, troubleshooting production issues, supporting well intervention activities, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all HSE and operational standards.
- Operate wells and production equipment safely and efficiently.
- Implement daily operational objectives while maintaining housekeeping, safety, environmental, and security standards.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings and routine safety meetings.
- Monitor wells and production equipment to identify optimization opportunities and equipment issues.
- Perform routine maintenance as an Equipment Care Technician.
- Report alarms, emergency shutdowns, or safety system impairments.
- Provide accurate shift turnover information to ensure operational continuity.
- Coordinate corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain detailed operational logbooks documenting equipment status and field activities.
- Collect product samples and perform field laboratory testing.
- Participate in emergency response activities.
- Report incidents and follow company Incident Reporting Guidelines.
- Maintain communication with the Operations Shift Supervisor regarding operational activities.
- Work closely with maintenance and Wellwork teams during intervention activities.
- Diagnose well performance issues before requesting Wellwork support.
- Ensure wellheads and production equipment are prepared for intervention operations.
- Support ongoing Wellwork operations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Field Technician or Production Operator.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong commitment to Safety, Health, and Environmental excellence.
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations and operational standards.
- Understanding of safety management systems and operational processes.
- 2+ years of chemical plant or production operations experience strongly preferred.
- Prior oil & gas production operations experience.
- Experience troubleshooting producing wells and production equipment.
- Experience supporting Wellwork operations.
- Familiarity with production optimization.
- Knowledge of field sampling and laboratory testing.
- Experience coordinating maintenance activities.
